Don't Waste Ur Time Here



My best friend went to this dealer to buy a 2 yr old used Toyota vehicle, took it for a drive, went over it throughly, liked it, & sat down to do the 'deal'. The first thing out of the salesman mouth was, " we don't negotiate price here."

Than you don't sell me a car today either!

With what the auto industry just( and is ) going through, and the public relation's nightmare Toyota is dancing around presently, we still run into this type of arrogance?

Won't name the dealership, it's in Huron county S. Ontario, starts with " EX".

Don't waste your time and hard earned money here.

You tell the story, but won't give up the name of the dealer. Why tell the story then?

Agreed. Toyota Nation is not owned by Toyota Motor Corporation, so naming the dealership won't get you into any trouble here. Also, there are good and bad dealerships/salesmen out there working for every brand of car, and anyone stupid enough to say they won't negotiate is trying to intimidate the buyer but more likely going to watch his sale walk out the door.

Hate to bump and old thread but...Are you serious??? You think because a dealer has set dollar amounts on their vehicles they are being unfair? You have got to be kidding me. That is honestly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If you dont like the price, dont look at the car!



Policies are not the same everywhere and its just ridiculous to assume things like that....

Just to add to what ^ said, I had my parents buy thier new '05 Camry at a dealer that doesn't negotiate price.



Why? They lowed the prices from the start over all other dealers.

Many dealerships have gone to a "one price" setup where they offer vehicles at a discounted price and hang a tag on the car stating the price. It makes the old "start high and negotiate" game a thing of the past. Most around here who do it have pretty steeply discounted prices posted.



It seems to work well... but the OP apparently didn't get that. Apparently he, like a lot of folks, thought he was going to hammer the dealership into submission. I've dealt with dealerships professionally for 20 plus years. Nobody ever really hammers the dealership into submission... They just think they did. The dealership then laughs all the way to the bank.
