Maintenance Coupons

I took delivery of a 2011 Avalong on 8 September and was told that the "free" maintenance coupons would be mailed to me. It's now 2 months 2 weeks later and still no coupons. If I drove much, I would already be at 5K miles. (We have ~2800 on OD now). Who do I complain to at Toyota (and don't say the dealer) and what is the typical wait? Thanks

It's going to take awhile, Toyota is really backlogged. If it gets to the point where you need to go into service and haven't gotten them, it's no big deal. The service advisor can still take care of it without you needing to pay. I just got my coupons and I leased my Camry almost 3 months ago.

And complaining to Toyota isn't going to help much, like I said they're really backlogged.

Thanks. I guess I'll get them within another few weeks.

It is now Feb 18 2011 and STILL no coupons from Toyota. I usually buy a new car every few years and presently own a 2008 Rav4 and the 2011 Avalon. Next car defintely WILL NOT be a Toyota. They run a real sloppy operation. No wonder there have been so many recalls!!

That sucks, I'm sorry.

Not having the coupons aren't going to be a huge deal. When you go in for service tell the advisor that Toyota still hasn't sent you your coupons and they will take care of the rest.

Email Toyota directly and see what they say.

Good luck!

FYI Toyota changed the program a while back. They do not mail out coupons anymore and have not for awhile. You don't need them. And if that is going to cause you to buy a different car, you should straighten out your priorities! I've heard some pretty dumb reasons not to buy a car, but this tops the list!

^Ummm he should have, he got his car back in September, a week after me. I have coupons, and salespeople I work with who got their cars in October got coupons as well.

Although, like you said, and I said, it's not a big deal if you don't have them. You'll be fine.

Your right, looks like JAN 1st they stopped the coupon mailing. If he did not get coupons it's because the dealer did not have him sign the red and white toyota care form. I did get coupons for the car I got in November now that I think of it but I threw them out.

I kept mine for some weird reason....speaking of which, I have my 5k on Monday (with a whopping 3500 miles on the car ).

The fact that such a simple issue cannot be resolved by the Toyota network raises serious questions. And before I posted, I was aware that folks that made purchases later that me had received their coupons. I also note that folks that cannot get their facts straight are quick to criticise others.

For the record, I contacted Ackerman Toyota in STL about a month ago and they advised they would be contacting Toyota directly to get the problem resolved. That was a month ago and still no resolution. I stand by my comment regarding Toyota competence and not deserving future purchases.

Can you provide an email address? I could not find one. Also I went through the dealer in STL for resolution about a month ago but still no results. I guess I could contact the local Toyota dealer, where I did not make the purchase, and see if they will do the maintenance without the coupons. The dealer I made the purchase from is about 30 miles away but gives pretty good deals.

Click the arrow next to "Company" and at the bottom of the list there's an option for "Warranty, Service, and Maintenance".

Your right. Let me get the facts straight:

You have decided not to purchase another vehicle from this brand for the sole reason that you failed to receive a useless package of papers in the mail. Not for the fact that you are dissapointed with your 30+ thousand dollar vehicle, and not for your dealerships lack of effort in assisting you. But 100% due to the situation in which you were not sent a couple of pieces of paper which are completely and totally unnecessary and have no value to you whatsoever. In other words, you have based your decision on your perception of incompetence due to the lack of junk mail sent to your house.

Do I have that correct sir?
